Compressed Files/Folders Color

To change the color of compressed files and folders in Windows NT/2000/XP open the registry and navigate to

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer]

and then either modify or create a new binary value named AltColor and set the value data to the color you want the compressed files and folders to be (the default is 00 00 ff 00). Now exit the registry, and restart your computer for the change to take effect.
