Force Classic Desktop

To Force Windows to Use the Classic Desktop in Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000 open the registry and navigate to either [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\ Policies\Explorer]

or

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]

and then either modify or create a new DWORD value named ClassicShell and set the value data to 1. Now exit the registry, and restart your computer for the change to take effect.
