A really cool trick to play on one of your friends is to create a batch file, disguised as any program you want (such as Internet Explorer) that opens itself continually until the computer crashes.
To do this first open notepad and copy the code below.

Next save the document as joke.bat to a folder you know you're friend will not accidentally open (such as C:\windows). Now, right click your desktop and select New | Shortcut and type in the path of where you just saved the file in the text box. Click next and now enter the name of the file you want to disguise your batch file trap as (such as "Internet Explorer"), and click finish. After the shortcut is created, right click it and select properties. Next, click the change icon button and choose the icon you wish your trap to appear as. Finally delete the real original desktop icon so that only your trap icon is visible. Now when your friend goes to click on Internet explorer, my computer, or whatever you disguised your trap as, he/she will unknowingly open up a infinite number of windows which will after a few minutes cause your friends computer to crash.
Note: I've used this trick many times without any problems because after the computer is restarted the computer is fine, but don't blame me if there is any problems with this trick.

I was so interested I looked up some other commands. To shut down or restart:
-r = restart, -s = shutdown

Another interesting thing is to echo, which displays a message in the command window, just type @echo off
at the beginning and echo blah example

The message box can't be deleted unless you reboot the computer, and the funny thing is, when the person tries to hide the messagebox in the corner of the screen where the teacher can't see it, every few minutes it'll pop up in the middle of the screen. Funny if the teacher's around!
And I still remember the good old days in elementary school where they didn't block batch files. I created myself an administrative account and started messing with the root when I was in fifth grade, and nearly got myself expelled after they caught me...:-(

the reason i ask this is my friend 5 days ago ran a file on my laptop by taking it from me an double clicking the exe whic deleted the hal.dll and forced shutdown now we figured out al we needed to do was exand the hal.dl_ in a different file to the original to fix it but it took 5 days to fix because my entire hard disk was read only so i had to wait for a friend to use his vista live cd to fix and i want to get him back by having this run at startup once he logs in but im sue i may have mentioned that things in the file this will be in will not run in safe mode so i think he could fix it by just removing it can you help me out; if I have to someone told me that they would teach me how to flash a bios and really mess up his little 15 gig comp also i can't seem to get an autorun file to open a batch off my flash drive>.<>

it's alright i tried it on my comp with a few fixes and i can't quite get it right it doesn't want to rename the file that it copies only the original which is a problem also im having trouble with the if exist and if not exist queries

I intend to launch it hidden using javascript. I am currently having a few problems with the registry values. This is designed to eat hard drive space.
This line:

To make and endless ammount of boxes open until your computer crashes i found a easy way in just 2 lines.

The admin on our school's computer network has blocked access to command prompt, but you can still make .bat files that run as a command window. However, it still opens it into the blocked prompt. o yea i forgot to say - my fav batch "virus" (which is not really a virus) ever is one i wrote once that would continually make text files filled with line returns until the hard drive fills up and windows automatically shuts down so then u have to use a live cd to open ur hard drive and delete the useless files lmao
