Set Page Numbers in OpenOffice Writer

Note: Set page number in open office:

If you are used to Microsoft Word, you may have trouble setting up automatic page numbers in OpenOffice.org. However, it is actually quite simple to do, the menu options are just moved around.

1. You probably want to have the page number in the header. If so, go to Insert>Header>Default to make the header appear. However, you can add the page number anywhere you want, even in the next of the document if you wish.

2. Go to Insert>Fields>Page Numbers to insert the page number. You can also enter the number of pages from here.

That should be it! Post in the comments if you have any issues or need to know how to do something else with page numbers.
