Disable MS-DOS Prompt

To disable the MS-DOS command prompt in Windows 95/98/Me open the registry and navigate to

either [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\WinOldApp]

or

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\WinOldApp]

and then either modify or create a new DWORD value named Disabled and set the value data to 1. Now exit the registry, and restart your computer for the change to take effect.
