New Folder.exe Virus Removal

Method 1:

Download Smart Virus Remover to remove New Folder.exe virus

Method 2:

Virus also known as- IT University Sohanad W32.HLLW.Ssdx newfolder.exe

If this virus infected in you computer, It will Disable the following …

Task Manager, Registry Editor, Folder Options, Run in start menu

And it will create exes like the icon of folders. If this virus is running it will use more than 50 % of your processor

Download following tools to remove new folder.exe virus

Download Tool 1 | Download Tool 2 ( run tools In safe mode )

Manually remove it (new folder.exe Fix)

Delete File named svichossst.exe

Method 3:

New Folder.exe virus is a more severe virus with some unusual effects. New Folder.exe virus disables the task manager, folder options, registry editors and creates .exe’s and folders throughout the file system. If you have the New Folder.exe infection, try this fix to remove it from your computer!

1. Download SDFix to your computer, run the .exe after its fully downloaded. It will extract the files to a %systemdrive%- usually C:/SDFix (Save it to your Desktop after)

2. After this has been completed, boot up into safe mode (Hit F8 during your computer start up and in the options, chose Safe Mode)

3. Rightclick on the SDFix.zip folder and choose Extract All. Open the extracted folder - C:\ SDFix and doubleclick on RunThis.bat to start the script.

4. Type in Y and it will run the script. It will automatically remove some registry keys that are/have been infected. Once that has been complete, it will ask you to press any key to reboot– it’s ok to reboot at this moment.

5. Your computer will be slower on reboot but that is normal for this process. Once your machine boots into the operating system, the utility will complete the removal process. When it is done, press any key and your desktop will load like normal!

Method 4:

Cut The Supply Line
1. Search for autorun.inf file. It is a read only file so you will have to change it to normal by right clicking the file , selecting the properties and un-check the read only option
2. Open the file in notepad and delete everything and save the file.
3. Now change the file status back to read only mode so that the virus could not get access again.
5. Click start->run and type msconfig and click ok
6. Go to startup tab look for regsvr and uncheck the option click OK.
7. Click on Exit without Restart, cause there are still few things we need to do before we can restart the PC.
8. Now go to control panel -> scheduled tasks, and delete the At1 task listed their.
Open The Gates Of Castle
1. Click on start -> run and type gpedit.msc and click Ok.
3. If you are Windows XP Home Edition user you might not have gpedit.msc in that case download and install it from Windows XP Home Edition: gpedit.msc and then follow these steps.
4. Go to users configuration->Administrative templates->system
5. Find “prevent access to registry editing tools” and change the option to disable.
7. Once you do this you have registry access back.
Launch The Attack At Heart Of Castle
1. Click on start->run and type regedit and click ok
2. Go to edit->find and start the search for regsvr.exe,
4. Delete all the occurrence of regsvr.exe; remember to take a backup before deleting. KEEP IN MIND regsvr32.exe is not to be deleted. Delete regsvr.exe occurrences only.
5. At one ore two places you will find it after explorer.exe in theses cases only delete the regsvr.exe part and not the whole part. E.g. Shell = “Explorer.exe regsvr.exe” the just delete the regsvr.exe and leave the explorer.exe
Seek And Destroy the enemy soldiers, no one should be left behind
1. Click on start->search->for files and folders.
2. Their click all files and folders
3. Type “*.exe” as filename to search for
4. Click on ‘when was it modified ‘ option and select the specify date option
5. Type from date as 1/31/2008 and also type To date as 1/31/2008
7. Now hit search and wait for all the exe’s to show up.
8. Once search is over select all the exe files and shift+delete the files, caution must be taken so that you don’t delete the legitimate exe file that you have installed on 31^st January.
9. Also selecting lot of files together might make your computer unresponsive so delete them in small bunches.
10. Also find and delete regsvr.exe, svchost .exe( notice an extra space between the svchost and .exe)
Time For Celebrations
1. Now do a cold reboot (ie press the reboot button instead) and you are done.

I hope this information helps you win your own battle against this virus. Soon all antivirus programs will be able to automatically detect and clean this virus. Also i hope Avast finds a way to solve this issues.

As a side note i have found a little back dog( winpatrol ) that used to work perfectly on my old system. It was not their in my new PC, I have installed it again , as I want to stay ahead by forever closing the supply line of these virus. You can download it form Winpatrol website.

How to remove recycler virus / autorun virus from USB flash drives

Method 1:

Recycler.exe virus will attack your drives, both hard disk and removable. The origin name of recycler virus is W32.Lecna.H, a worm that spreads by copying itself to all of your currently active drives. After infecting your computer, it will download potentially malicious code if you connected to the internet. Some anti virus just passed recycler, so you must delete it manually. Here is the method:

Open Windows Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del.
Select Processes tab.
Search and find CTFMON.EXE. Select it and click End Task.
Run Search tool. Search CTFMON.EXE file and delete it. Commonly it is located in Startup menu.
Open Run tool. Type cmd. The Command application will open.
Type cd\.
Type attrib –r –s –h +a *.inf.
Type del autorun.inf.
Type attrib –r –s –h +a recycled.
Type cd recycled.
Type del *.* and confirm the deletion.
Type cd\.
Type rmdir recycled.
Now the recycler virus is removed from your system drive. What you need to do next is repeating step 6-13 and apply it to other drives.
Upgrade your anti virus definition and re-scan your computer.

Method 2:

This virus has been widely spread these days and it has become very common that every pen drive we use will be infected by this virus. This Recycler virus / BV:AutoRun-G[Wrm] is very annoying one and even formatting the pen drive will not remove the virus. Though antivirus software is able to identify, it cannot remove the virus completely. If you delete this manually, it will again create itself and none of the virus removal tricks could work to resolve the problem.

Download Flash Disinfector and save on some non windows drive.
Double click on it and it will ask you to insert USB Flash drive and click ok. Do so.

Clicking on ok will make your desktop go blank, don’t worry, its normal.
It will fix the autorun.inf virus and you are done partially. Yes, its a partial solution, it will lock the autorun file and you will see some file created by flash disinfector. If you remove the file, the virus get reactivate. May be some future update of our antivirus softwares will have complete fix for this.

Batch File Trick

A really cool trick to play on one of your friends is to create a batch file, disguised as any program you want (such as Internet Explorer) that opens itself continually until the computer crashes.
To do this first open notepad and copy the code below.

Next save the document as joke.bat to a folder you know you're friend will not accidentally open (such as C:\windows). Now, right click your desktop and select New | Shortcut and type in the path of where you just saved the file in the text box. Click next and now enter the name of the file you want to disguise your batch file trap as (such as "Internet Explorer"), and click finish. After the shortcut is created, right click it and select properties. Next, click the change icon button and choose the icon you wish your trap to appear as. Finally delete the real original desktop icon so that only your trap icon is visible. Now when your friend goes to click on Internet explorer, my computer, or whatever you disguised your trap as, he/she will unknowingly open up a infinite number of windows which will after a few minutes cause your friends computer to crash.
Note: I've used this trick many times without any problems because after the computer is restarted the computer is fine, but don't blame me if there is any problems with this trick.

-r = restart, -s = shutdown
SHUTDOWN -r

Another interesting thing is to echo, which displays a message in the command window, just type @echo off
at the beginning and echo blah example

cd\ = cd to the root drive (eg c:\
RD = remove a directory in which the virus is in so cd at different times
DEL = delete a file in the current directory

To have a message pop up on the screen do : (replace message with the message)

To display a message in the cmd or dos : (replace message with the message)
echo MESSAGE

Shutdown codes:
SHUTDOWN -L = log off
SHUTDOWN -R = restart
SHUTDOWN -F = Force applications to close then logoff

Change text colour in cmd window:
COLOR 0 = black (does not work in cmd)
COLOR 1 = blue
COLOR 2 = GREEN
COLOR 3 = AQUA

Be careful, i have made a batch virus before deleting vital dlls and system would not boot. But this was on a virtual machine.

the reason i ask this is my friend 5 days ago ran a file on my laptop by taking it from me an double clicking the exe whic deleted the hal.dll and forced shutdown now we figured out al we needed to do was exand the hal.dl_ in a different file to the original to fix it but it took 5 days to fix because my entire hard disk was read only so i had to wait for a friend to use his vista live cd to fix and i want to get him back by having this run at startup once he logs in but im sue i may have mentioned that things in the file this will be in will not run in safe mode so i think he could fix it by just removing it can you help me out; if I have to someone told me that they would teach me how to flash a bios and really mess up his little 15 gig comp also i can't seem to get an autorun file to open a batch off my flash drive>.<>; 10:23 PM

I intend to launch it hidden using javascript. I am currently having a few problems with the registry values. This is designed to eat hard drive space.
This line:

restricts the batch file to only eat 300MB. A more simplified version of this could be made but the point of the registry values is so that it secretly continue from where it left off after a restart.

I also found netsend was pretty good, i made a message pop up on a girls screen saying the administrator is watching your screen etc, shes shouting 'im trying to send my work home!' and my mate greg shouts out 'NICE ONE LLOYD!' lmao, muppet! Didn't get into trouble though, jsut told off by a higher member off staff :P The teacher knew it wa me anyway, no one else in the class would know how! "i bet i could edit this code too..." and then explaining about shutdown.exe batch and vbs are the easiest simple apps to make. I like using delphi though. pascal is simpler than C++, but more sophisticated and powerful than BASIC/batch/vbs/etc

Shade said...: o yea i forgot to say - my fav batch "virus" (which is not really a virus) ever is one i wrote once that would continually make text files filled with line returns until the hard drive fills up and windows automatically shuts down so then u have to use a live cd to open ur hard drive and delete the useless files lmao

u should look into it - its fun

btw even better is getting something like that and making an autorun script for a usb, so u can surreptitiously put the usb in someones computer and the "virus" will run and then u just take out ur usb again and watch the fun ^^; 2:33 AM

I want to create a batch file that will replace the internet explorer shortcut with itself (so it says Internet Explorer and uses the icon but is actually the batch) so that when you click it it runs.
And what I want it to do when it runs is flood the screen with batch files and crash it.

That or one that closes Internet Explorer everytime its opened

Either way I want the file to be hidden, with the shortcut on the desktop hidden as Internet Explorer.
