Add Windows Live Messenger button to Internet Explorer toolbar

To add Windows Live Messenger button to Internet Explorer toolbar, use the REG file available at the bottom of this page.

Instructions

Download windows_live_button.reg and save to Desktop. Right-click the file, and choose Merge. Click Yes to confirm the action. Download msn.ico and save it to your Windows folder.

Open Internet Explorer, right-click the standard toolbar and choose Customize. Add Windows Live Messenger to the Current toolbar buttons listing so that the newly added button is displayed.

Also, an additional menu entry (Windows Live Messenger) will be added to the Tools menu after you apply the REG file.
