How to Set Up the Fax on an HP Officejet All in One

Things You'll Need:

• HP Officejet All in One
• Fax telephone line
• Working telephone outlet

Instructions:

1. Step 1

   Locate the fax telephone line included with your HP Officejet All in One. Plug one end of the fax telephone line into the telephone wall jack. Plug the other end of the fax telephone line into the jack labeled “1-Line” on the back of your HP Officejet All in One.

2. Step 2

   Determine if you wish the HP Officejet All in One fax to automatically answer all incoming calls or if you wish to answer manually. Press the Setup button located on the bottom row in the middle of the control panel. Press 4 to enter the Basic Fax Setup menu. Press 2 to select the Auto Answer menu. Press the Right Arrow button to select Auto Answer On or Off. Press OK to accept your selection.

3. Step 3

   Press the Setup button. Press 5 to enter the Advanced Fax Setup menu. Press 1 to select the Answer Ring Pattern option. Press the Right Arrow button to select your desired option. Press OK to accept your selection.

4. Step 4

   Press the Setup button. Press 4 to enter the Basic Fax Setup menu. Press 3 to select the Rings to Answer option. Use the numeric keypad to enter your desired number of rings before the fax answers. Press OK to accept your selection.

5. Step 5

   Run a test fax by pressing the Setup button. Press 6 to enter the Tools menu. Press 6 to select the Run Fax Test option. The status of your test will be displayed on the control panel. The HP Officejet All in One will print a Test Results report. Review the report for any error messages and press the OK button.

This problem can occur because of a modification in Outlook 2002 that limits the size of personal folder (.pst) and offline folder (.ost) files to less than 2 gigabytes (GBs) to prevent the files from becoming corrupted.

You appear to have either an Offline Folders file (.OST) or a Personal

When Starting a service in Normal Mode you get this error:

Solution:

Browse to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Option

change "OptionValue" to if present

"OptionValue"=dword:00000000

and restart the computer.
